This is the power input to the Easy Driver. Special power-up sequencing is not required. By simply inputting one pulse on the STEP input the motor will take one step full, half, quarter, or eighth depending on two logic inputs. This normally high input signal will minimize power consumption by disabling internal circuitry and the output drivers when pulled low.
The ASLB is a complete microstepping motor driver with built-in translator. Connect the negative aklegro of your power supply, as well as from any other boards you are using to drive the Easy Driver to one or more of the GND pins.
The EasyDriver has an on board voltage regulator for the digital interface that can be allego to 5V or 3. This normally high input signal will reset the internal translator and disable all output drivers when pulled low. They require a dual H-bridge to drive them. These digital inputs control the microstepping mode. Internal circuit protection includes thermal shutdown with hysteresis, under-voltage lockout UVLO and crossover-current a397.
Flyback diodes are required to prevent voltage spikes when the power to the coil is turned off and the stepper motor acts like a generator briefly back-emf.
