But Gillian and Marlow come to the rescue and help smooth the way for each of them. I have read far worse.

And while I liked How bored does the cover model, the Rake aka the hero, look in the clutches of the heroine, the Spinster? Gillian the heroine finds herself coming out a rut by her spinste with Ronan.

It didn’t really fit with the rest of the story for me, it sort of threw everything off balance for me. But Lord Marlow is about to discover that Miss Redfern is more siren than spinster. Rather a decent romance. At the end, Gilly decided to take matters on her own and convinced the foolish rake that she is willing to be with him. I wanted groveling, damnit! His sins will be overlooked because of his new status.
