With the humorous illustration, and funny rhymes, we are able to laugh at the fate of the man that is too busy to stop writing to wiggle out of the grip of a snake that is very slowly consuming him. As I was searching through my old childhood books for this assignment, I was coming to realize that alot of the stories I read could potentially be scary or weird if they were real and not childrens books.

In reality I think it is probably a healthy thing, but my childhood seems so much more innocent than I think it actually was. The snake looks old with his wrinkled mouth and worried face, perhaps nervous wondering how exactly he is going to gulp down a full man.
