It was difficult to follow. This one reads like classic Zafon, of whom I am a big fan. Like, stop being so dramatic, dude. My only complain about Midnight Palace is that it’s set in India, which is as exotic a setting as you can get. Maybe it’s because I didn’t like Ben,or maybe it’s because I wasn’t particularly interested in the story. To see what your friends thought of this book, please sign up. A man was after the twins, but Peake managed to deliver them to their grandmother, right before losing his life. The story opens with a British soldier delivering infant twins from imminent danger.

Yes, I’m a scaredy-cat, but still.

It was a good conclusion to their journey. Ben and his friends are due to leave le orphanage which has been their home for sixteen years. Sometimes the difference between them is hard to see, but in the end time will show you that the cards you have been dealt could always have been worse. I hated the Chowbar society members, all of them and I was more sympethtic to Jawahel -villain- but Zafon my man this thing sounded like a movie from Bollywood! The ending,on the other hand,I actually really liked.

Years later, on the farlos of Ben and Sheere’s sixteenth birthday, the mysterious threat reenters their lives. The setting for the book is almost a character in and of itself as are several of the locations throughout, including the titular “Midnight Mesianoche.
