Can’t wank to this since the book is so heavy. I’ve been told this by unnamed third parties. I won’t respond to this claim because whoever comes to this conclusion is either, first mzrques all, acting shocked in order ljbro make themselves appear more innocent or, second of all, reading a copy that doesn’t mention the author’s name or any summary of the text on the cover because, after all, people expecting light-hearted romantic romps don’t pick up books by Sade.

Those who say so show, in my opinion, that they don’t understand Sade at all. One can’t help but appreciate the author’s writing or his views on authority which at the time happened to be the Catholic Church, not God! The edition I am currently reading online was published in and is an abridged edition. Now, since I’m not qualified to go into a literary criticism of this work, I would suggest reading “Sade: The edition I am currently reading online was published in and is an abridged edition.
They talk a great deal about crime and the idea that what may seem like a crime or evil to others may in fact not be for others – very philosophical. Do not be afraid of read this book, you will not read the perversions of a sodomite, you will read the world’s reality with a perfect narrative.
After all people read murder-mysteries and crime thrillers but do eade condone the criminal acts that are described. Is it “disgusting, depraved, or evil”? In essence, killing a human being is no more a crime than killing a roach. The book makes any reader that still considers human nature to be, in essence, good, wake up and face reality.

It was only when I realized that de Sade’s creation was starting to break the fourth wall in the last two pages that I felt panic set in, compelling me to quickly finish and slam the book shut lest it cause a dimensional rift to open and let the insanity spill forth into our world.
Though if you’re into pain and body fluids you’ll probably find it titillating. It’s ridiculous, really, but I find it incredibly amusing because it’s not meant to be taken seriously.

I don’t Swde support censorship for any reason, I support free will and ability to judge ideas with your own mind; but this book was banned for good reasons. If you know about this Libertine Man than you know how his books are going to be. I won’t recommend this book to anyone. I shuddered at realizing the kinship in mentality.
