Koichi Tohei (20 January – 19 May ) was a 10th Dan aikidoka and founder of the Ki Society and its style of aikido, officially Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido. Koichi Tohei, a distinguished contributor to this development, is perhaps one of those most qualified to talk about the kooichi of aikido.
